4/11/08  -  I just finished mixing a song written by my good friend Steve Nieves, "Obvious."  I played all of the guitar, bass and mandolin parts and am singing the backing vocals.  Steve is singing lead on this track.  Check it out here.

4/2/08  -  I just realized that I haven't added any text here in quite a while... sorry!  I still update my website very often but mainly only my calendar.  Thanks for stopping by.

7/16/07  -  I've almost completed work on the 3rd song for my solo CD.  The track is titled, "Shelter Me" It's a song that speaks of the experience of going through this terrible house remodel and God's good grace in our lives in the midst of all this.  It's on the Sounds page and on my MySpace page here:

While you're there check out the other 3 tracks that are also going to be on the CD.

5/28/07 -  Played with Kate and David Miner over the weekend in Laguna Beach.

5/6/07 - Returned today from spending the weekend on a gig with Jimmy Messina.  I played guitar and sung with him and another female vocalist, Antara.  Sure was a lot of fun!  I look forward to the next one.

1/17/07 - HAPPY NEW YEAR!!  House still isn't done... don't know when it will be... so...

9/22/06 - Today I sit here <<frustrated>> at our remodel construction progress.  It seems as though this house will N E V E R be finished.  Oct. 1 will be 8 months into this project and my "crew" still has not even started installing drywall let alone finished installing all of the sub-flooring upstairs.  ** Sigh **  At this rate it will be another couple of months before we can move-in upstairs and then the "crew" is going to begin tearing into our kitchen for a TOTAL makeover with new custom cabinets, all new appliances, granite countertops, and hardwood floors.  I cringe at the thought of how long THAT process is going to take.  I placed parenthesis around the word "crew" because I don't think Webster's defines the word "crew" as only TWO PEOPLE.   Once the second floor and kitchen / updated downstairs bathroom are finished they still have to lay our new driveway / entry area and THEN finally prep for installing a new privacy fence in the backyard around the ENTIRE perimeter.  70' x 140'.  Oh man... It hurts to just type that all out and see it with my own eyes.  "Lord, grant to me the strength every day to be content no matter where I may find myself." Our pastor Ed Rea is teaching in Timothy at this time and has spoken a lot about us being content in wherever we are in life when we are His children.  It's exactly where we are supposed to be at that time.  so... I look at it for what it is... "A real blessing" and it will be amazing when it's finished, but it is tiring to live in shambles for so long.

4/8/06 - Sorry I've been so out of touch lately.  My wife and I are adding an entire second floor to our single floor home and have been dealing with rain issues, leaks in the house, moving my wife into a new room for her spa business (installing floors, molding, curtain rods/curtains, etc...) and don't get me STARTED on taxes!  AHHHHHHH!!  All this is a real blessing it's just that things take time to complete and it's that transition time between the cocoon and the birth of the butterfly that is a real pain!!  :)  Very soon we'll be living without heat and will be cooking in a microwave and toaster oven until the kitchen is completed.  Sadly, due to all of the construction around here work on my CD is stopped until I get things set-up again.

1/18/06 - Happy new year!  2005 was a year of real growth both as a performer / songwriter and as a worship leader.  I had some very memorable moments onstage with various artists as well as some unforgettable  moments in front of my home church leading worship!  The Christmas morning service at The Packinghouse was an amazing thing to be a part of.  The songs that we prepared for worship came out so much better than I could have even imagined.  That morning will stand out as one of the more memorable services to me.

God willing, 2006 will see the completion of my first solo CD. Contributing is my good friend Dean Cortez (Hiroshima) on bass, Matt Reid (Berlin) on keyboards and Frank Sanchez on drums. I'll keep you updated on it's progress here as time goes by.  Actually my Bio and Media pages play snippets from this new release.

I have added a new set of pictures on the "Sights" page. It is from my performance with Kate Miner at the Pacific Amphitheater in July of 2005.  Not a bad way to spend the day!  Check it out~

12/12/05 - I have been quite busy lately in the studio but have managed to add some live video clips to the "Sights" page.  I have a lot of video footage that I a working on adding and will get that on soon.  Enjoy!   :)

12/01/05 - Ok, so I have finally updated my website to a newer, hipper (did he just say hipper?!?) format.  As before I will continue to keep my Calendar section current so you can depend on the dates that are shown and I will keep this site fresh with more content and cool things.  I plan on adding more wallpapers and MP3's as well as completing the "Studio" page with information on my home studio, "Breezeway Studios" soon.

On other news I am still working on my solo CD and have 2 songs finished and ready to master.  I'm not sure how many songs will be on the final product.  I guess how ever many the good Lord puts on my heart to complete.  Writing / recording can sometimes be like pulling teeth... It can be an arduous process but once it's done, it's clear that it was necessary really.  I mean how can we, as performers, grow and learn unless we take the time to be refined by these processes?

For those that don't know yet, I have assumed the role of "worship leader" at Calvary Chapel Redlands, CA since Oct. 1, 2005.  Talk about being refined through a process!!  It's a LOT of work to prepare charts / arrangements for 4 songs (doesn't sound like much huh?? I know, that's what I thought at first!!) rehearse with whoever is available, and then present it to the body to worship the Creator along side of us every other Sat. night and Sunday morning.  I mean my first couple of times up with "my" worship team took about 6 hours of preparation... 6 HOURS for 4 songs, or basically 20 minutes of worship!!!  But you know what, in the end, it's all worth it... It allows us all to truly enter into worship when we are playing and not focus so strongly on where we are going to go next in the song... that's the refining process I was speaking of.  And besides I think that the Creator of the universe deserves our excellence no matter what task we take up for Him.  Hmmmmm.... then I guess I better get this site finished.... gotta go!

11/09/05 - I got back yesterday from a couple of days out in San Jose with Kate Miner and her husband/bassist David. What a great time!!  We played at the Jubilee Christian Center for a conference and saw some amazing pastors/speakers!  The bummer was that we only played 3 songs in 2 days... oh well it was nice to see that part of CA and to spend some time strengthening my friendship with the Miners.
